Production Strategy

Our main focus are high end productions for prime-time slots of the international TV-market and for theatrical release. Most of MARCO POLO FILM AG’s yearly output is realised as co-productions with partners in Germany and abroad.

Furthermore we produce series, shorts, 30’ and 60’ one-offs. Special attention is turned to cross-genre projects connecting different themes, i.e. natural history combined with science, history, adventure and life-style. We also produce children's programs, reports and short films for all kinds of nature related magazine programs.

Great care is taken to deliver in the highest possible technical standards. Marco Polo Film AG was one of the first production companies in Germany producing films in High Definition Formats. From its long experience in business, Marco Polo Film AG gained extensive expert knowledge, particularly in HDTV production and archive material / licenses, and will gladly offer advice and assistance.
